Every minute, hundreds of hours of audio are uploaded to the internet from around the world, a figure that is increasing exponentially.Maelstrom harnesses this global sonic ecosystem to create a spatial sound sculpture that is composed in real-time from tens of thousands of sound fragments, heard through a spiral architecture of 96 speakers.

Through shifting, pointillistic landscapes of sound, streams of human and more-than-human language drift amongst clustered chords, woven from the performances of hundreds of unknown musicians across the world.
